Fiber to the Home Project
In December 2014 TELBO has started the roll out of an island wide ‘Fiber to the Home’ project. During this project, which will last to approximately December 2017, all home and business locations will receive a optic fiber connection replacing the existing copper network. Below you will find a temporary planning of the roll out by area. Please keep in mind that the planning is subject to change.

Planning network migration
As part of the FttH project, customers will migrate to a new network. In most areas the network migration and the migration to fiber will take place at the same time, but in some areas the network migration will be carried out beforehand. Currently we are working on a network migration in Belnem.

What is fiber?
An optic fiber connection is a flexible, transparent fiber connection made of glass or plastic, which permits transmission of data (in the form of light) over long distances at higher bandwidths than copper wire cables.
Connected to fiber TELBO is able to offer a more stable connection and new services such as HD TV and super high speed internet up to 100 Mbps.
Quality of service
First of all this new technology results in a better data signal to your home minimizing the chance of service interruptions. We are also able to solve a large number of interruptions much faster because modems and setup boxes can be read and adjusted remotely. (read more)
Change of invoice
Together with the arrival of a new network TELBO will implement a new billing system. This requires the recurring charges for telephone, television and Internet to be billed in advance, and the variable costs (phone calls) to be invoiced afterwards. (read more)
